Award winning landscape
Cromer's seafront enhancement, UK

Leisure, heritage and tourism

Philae temple, Aswan, EgyptPhilae Temple, Aswan, Egypt: This ancient Egyptian temple and tourist attraction was relocated stone by stone in the 1970s after heightening the Aswan Dam.

Tourism is a major factor in local and national economies, providing employment and supporting the provision of local amenities, but the effects of tourism itself, and the effects of other developments on tourism can cause damage to the environment and to this economy.
