Remote sensing

remote sensing classifaction of vegetationNormalised difference vegetation index - remote sensing classification, India

We have developed an interdisciplinary approach to remote sensing, integrating our technology with traditional reporting methods.

Our team has built up extensive knowledge of data processing; from building topographic models, to the classification of multi-spectral imagery. We use this leading edge technology in conjunction with GIS to provide a number of services:

  • Flood embankment monitoring: Assessing the maintenance and height of sea and river defences
  • Cadastral modelling: Mapping remote landscapes using high resolution satellite imagery, reducing the need for field surveys, reducing costs and risks (in the case of hazardous countries)
  • Land classification: Using classifications of land cover tailored to specific projects to assess social and environmental impact hazards
